Is Equipment Failure Rate Getting Better or Worse?
Choose from several different reliability analysis methods. The method in the example above estimates the chance of the analyzed equipment item failing for any reason (breakdown cause) during a 100 hour production run. Notice the Failure Rate is expressed in the direction it's headed. In this example the failure rate is decreasing. A decreasing failure rate is good but the estimate of a 1 in 3 chance of failure during a 100 hour run is not good and should be explored further (column 4).
Notice the date box on the left side of the screen. Maintsmart makes it simple to select date periods for the purposes of analysis and reporting.
